Terms of Service

By using Sandbagger, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. What Sandbagger Is

Sandbagger is a golf competition and trip management app. It provides scorekeeping, leaderboards, leagues and season standings, round organizing and invitations, trip logistics, group chat, expense tracking, and AI-powered commentary for groups of golfers.

2. Wagering Disclaimer

Sandbagger is a scorekeeper only. The app tracks side games (skins, Nassau, etc.) and calculates results, but does not hold, transfer, or process any money. All financial settlements happen between players outside the app. Users are responsible for complying with local laws regarding friendly wagering.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Sandbagger
• You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
• One account per person — don't share accounts
• We may suspend accounts that violate these terms

4. Subscriptions & Purchases

• Free tier: core features at no cost — invited players never need to pay
• Trip Pass: one-time $49 purchase that unlocks everything for everyone on one trip
• Sandbagger Pro: annual subscription ($99/year)
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the renewal date
• Manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play Store settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple/Google per their refund policies

5. User Content

You own content you create (messages, photos, scores). By posting content in a trip or league, you grant other members the right to view it. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the app. Don't post content that is illegal, harassing, or infringes on others' rights.

6. Invitations

When you invite someone who isn't on Sandbagger by entering their name and phone number, you confirm you have their permission to share that information with us for the purpose of delivering the invitation.

7. AI-Generated Content

• AI trash talk and commentary is generated for entertainment purposes only
• All AI content is labeled as "AI-generated"
• AI stays within golf-related topics — no personal attacks beyond the game
• You can opt out of being featured in AI commentary
• You can flag and remove any AI content that you find objectionable
• We are not responsible for AI-generated content — it does not represent our views

8. Expense Tracking

Sandbagger provides expense tracking and settlement calculations as a convenience tool. We are not a financial service. Settlement suggestions are recommendations only — actual payments are between users. We are not responsible for payment disputes between users.

9. Limitation of Liability

Sandbagger is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for incorrect scores, lost data, AI-generated content, financial disputes between users, missed flights or tee times, or any indirect damages arising from use of the app.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse other users, or attempt to manipulate scores or leaderboards.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll notify users of material changes via push notification or in-app banner.
